Construction Terminal
Terminals are electronic work stations.
Summary[ | ]
Terminals in No Man's Sky are electronic work stations that allow specific game functions to be completed. There are a variety of terminals, resulting in a variety of possible uses.
List of Terminals[ | ]
Abandoned Building terminal[ | ]
Terminals found in Abandoned Buildings provides the player with a series of logs from a random long-dead Traveller. After reading each log, the player will receive Nanite Clusters.
Agricultural Terminal[ | ]
The Agricultural Terminal is used for farming of various resources such as Sac Venom and Gravitino Ball. It is used by a hired NPC known as a Farmer. They are Gek, and can be recruited in Space stations or Trading Posts in any system.
Artifact Exchange Vault[ | ]
The Artifact Exchange Vault allows a traveller to exchange an existing artifact, with the potential reward of an exchanged artifact of equal or greater value.
Communications Station[ | ]
The Communications Station provides the ability to compose and transmit short messages to other travellers who may pass by the station. They are often abbreviated as Comm Stations.
Construction Terminal[ | ]
The Construction Terminal is used for basebuilding-related items. It is used by a hired NPC known as an Overseer. They are Gek, and can be recruited in Space stations or Trading Posts in any system
Engineering Control[ | ]
The Engineering Control is a terminal found aboard a Derelict Freighter, located in the last room of the derelict. It is used to salvage 
Nanites, a Cargo Bulkhead, or a Salvaged Fleet Unit.
Exocraft Terminal[ | ]
The Exocraft Terminal is used for creating and upgrading Exocraft. It is used by a hired NPC known as a Technician, who may refer to themselves as a Mech-Priest. They are Vy'keen, and can be recruited in Space stations or Trading Posts in any system. This is the only specialist terminal that cannot be built on a freighter. It must be built only on a planet.
Fleet Command Room[ | ]
The Fleet Command Room is used to direct the frigate fleets of the player.
Frigate Terminal[ | ]
The Frigate Terminal is used to determine which components of a frigate have been damaged, and the requirements needed to repair it.
Galactic Trade Terminal[ | ]
Galactic Trade Terminals are scattered across planets, space stations, and trading posts. They provide quick electronic access to galactic markets where items of various types may be bought or sold on the open market.
Players can build these terminals on a base or freighter.
Multi-Tool Upgrade Station[ | ]
The Multi-Tool Upgrade Station is a computer Terminal found in inhabited space stations. It is a feature that allows upgrades to the player Multi-tools beyond what can be achieved through the inventory menu.
Planetary Archive[ | ]
The Planetary Archive terminal (aka Celestial Archive) can be found in a Colossal Archive. It provides race-specific history and lore.
Records Terminal[ | ]
The Records Terminal is a terminal found aboard a Derelict Freighter, located in the third-to-last room in the derelict. It is used to access the Crew Manifest.
Remembrance Terminal[ | ]
The Remembrance Terminal are a type of terminal that can only be unlocked if the Remembrance upgrade has been installed. They may be found on space stations behind AtlasPass v3 doors, or on planets behind AtlasPass v2 doors.
Science Terminal[ | ]
The Science Terminal is used for specialized research, and for the creation of science-related blueprints. It is used by a hired NPC known as a Scientist. They are Vy'keen or Korvax, and can be recruited in Space stations or Trading Posts in any system.
Secure Mainframe[ | ]
The Secure Mainframe is a terminal found aboard a Derelict Freighter, located in the second-to-last room of the derelict. It is used to access the Captain's Log
Station Core[ | ]
The Station Core terminal display information about the space station, including status and AI mode. It can be found at the rear of the hanger deck.
Synthesis Laboratory[ | ]
The Synthesis Laboratory is a product recipes research terminal at the Space Anomaly. It unlocks product recipes in exchange for 250 each.
Transmission Tower terminal[ | ]
The Transmission Tower terminal is used to provide various rewards, assuming the player can solve the presented mathematical puzzle.
Upgrade Control terminal[ | ]
The Upgrade Control is a terminal is used to provide customisation options for freighter, including the ability to recolour it. It is found on the freighter's bridge.
Weapons Terminal[ | ]
The Weapons Terminal is used for weaponry and explosives. It is used by a hired NPC known as an Armourer. These NPCs can be recruited in space stations within Vy'keen controlled systems.
