The Roman Star Federation is a civilized space community.
Summary[ | ]
The Roman Star Federation is a Civilized space community. It is designed to emulate aspects of both the historical Roman Republic and Roman Empire. It is welcome to all who want to bring imperial rule to the Euclid Galaxy, and embrace more militant and political gameplay while turning exploration and economy into what drives the influence of the Federation.
It is located in the Yevichi region of the Euclid galaxy, which falls within the Alpha Quadrant.
Mission[ | ]
Our mission is to provide a home for players who may be dissatisfied by other civilizations who let the militant and political aspects of Civilized space fall to the side while still creating a causal, inviting, and fun experience for those who want to simply explore the wonders of the Universe.
Government & Structure[ | ]
The seat of federal government lies on SPQR Rome, which lies within Kazhman-Toyol in the Yevichi region.
The Federation, during times of pax mundi, acts as a federal republic. Citizens within a RSF system vote for a magistrate, who holds the dual responsibility of governing that system and representing it in the Magistrature, which is the legislative power of the RSF. The Magistrature proposes laws and is vested with the power to give the Emperor discrimine vires, or what is better known as temporary emergency powers until whatever crisis is resolved. A detailed system of checks and balances exists between the Magistrature and the Emperor, which is detailed within the Cartae Imperiales, the founding document of the RSF.
Military & Defense[ | ]
The Roman Republic Navy currently acts as the military and policing force of the RSF. It currently consists of the Emperor, the Magistrature, and the squadrons and frigates in their service.
Naming Guidelines[ | ]
Members are encouraged to name systems/planets/moons with the classic Roman Empire initials "SPQR" in front of whatever name they give their system or the planets and moons within. This helps identify our claims within the Euclid and beyond.
For any ships, we ask that you put "SPQR" in front of whatever name you like.
