The Viridian Assembly of Eissentam - Research Division is an entity of the VAE.
Summary[]
The VAE Research Division is a business that focuses on documenting Derelict Freighters within The Viridian Assembly of Eissentam and the Salvaged Fleet Units they provide. The VRD also sells nanite rich items in exchange for Salvaged Frigate Modules and other currencies.
Naming Methods[]
The VRD finds and names Star systems in a way that identifies the class of the Salvaged Fleet Unit and the difficulty of the Derelict Freighter based on the type of enemy found within it.
- The system name will have the suffix of /DF-(Class)(Enemy type)
- Unit classes will be listed from C-S.
- Difficulty-Enemy type will be listed as 1-3 with 1 standing for Abyssal Horror (jellyfish), 2 standing for Rogue AI, and 3 standing for Minifiend.
An example would be Super Star System/DF-A2, which would mean the Derelict Freighter contained an A class Salvaged Fleet Unit and had Rogue AI as the enemy type.
Positions of Employment[]
- Freight Diver
- Freight Divers do the dirty work. They explore and loot derelict freighters and collect valuable information such as what class upgrade can be found on the ship, what kind of enemies are on the ship, and if there is a hanger bay present or not. Freight Divers are the life blood of the VRD.
- Salvage Sales
- Is trading more your speed? In the Salvage Sales department you are in charge of meeting up and trading with other travelers who wish to purchase our salvage. You will keep a Storage Container that has stock piles of our salvage such as Repair Kits, Salvage Fleet Units, Tainted Metal, Larval Cores, and Hadal Cores. We accept Salvaged Frigate Modules, Creature Eggs, and Portable Reactors as payment.
- Research Manager
- The Research Manager is in charge of overseeing all operations of the VRD. All positions report to the Research Manager in some capacity. The Research Manager may assign Position Leads to manage the individual positions should an employee prove dedicated and capable enough to take on the responsibility.

- Only Derelict Freighters with B Class upgrades or higher are recorded
- Just because a ship hanger is present doesn't mean a ship will be present as well
- The difficulty level only denotes the highest level of enemy found on the Derelict Freighter. It may contain multiple types of enemies.
