Trade Outpost

The Trading Posts are a type of planetary Point of Interest.

Summary

Similar to space stations, trading posts feature a galactic trade terminal and seven landing pads where starships can land. In the main section, the player can find 3-6 NPCs of that system's dominant faction, and, in rare occasions, a Traveler.

Cargo Drops can be found near the landing pads and in the lower sections of the Trading Post.

Locating

Trading posts can be found by using the starship's Economy Scanner, asking an alien NPC for directions or by pure exploration.

Trade routes

Following Trade routes or starships in space or in a planet's atmosphere can lead the player to a trading post.

Prices and trade items

Prices and trade items at trading posts can differ from the system's space station.

Missions

Delivery missions will ask the player to deliver a certain resource or trade item to a trading post in that system. Once there, the player has to enter the post's galactic trade terminal in order to complete the mission.

Additional Information

Trading Posts don't have staircases, so the only way to reach the main sections from the ground is by using one's jetpack.
