Win lee (talk) 23:09, 12 December 2017 (UTC) I've asked gamers (5 to be exact) to read Portal#Research paragraph and Portal address article and and everyone expressed the same opinion - the presentation of information in the form of tables is easier for perception, and there are lots of tautology in the text representation
Adding a picture with 3d chart of galaxy, where all axes (Portal X/Y/Z) will be having notches is enough that you've agreed to delete text information?
- This page is meant to talk about the user, not content on the wiki. In theory this talk - and your 5 invisible gamers - should be active on the Portal Talk page. Calling the text which is based in research a tautology (so I take it you mean having redundant information), is wrong. First, it was here before your portal adress page. However I do agree much can be condensed. As it was an ongoing and flowing research - and actually meant to be made into its own page at point X - many things were noted down on a point by point basis. For example the left and right rule from the center for portal codes X and Y (you use them as X and Z) can be fused into one passus. However, I do not support calling the galaxy height - which is 1/16 of the radius - as Y. The galaxy is a plate and the two glyph sequence should thus be called the height, or Z. The initial plane of the circle should be X and Y. And no a 3D map with notches (I guess you mean saying FFF to 900 - left - and 001 to 8FF - right - in hexadecimal) will only cover the information about the center being the anchor for the coordinates and not some corner of the galaxy. I met some "com terminals" during the corner studies that believed they were at the center... so this misconception among casual players is there and should be countered.
