The Warp Reactor Tau is the level 2 upgrade for a starship's Hyperdrive.

Summary[edit | edit source]

Warp Reactor Tau improves the Hyperdrive's capabilities, producing higher warp speeds and increasing the distance that can be traveled by 200ly.

When placed adjacent to Hyperdrive or other technologies that align with Hyperdrive technology, the player will receive additional bonuses.

Game description[edit | edit source]

Hyperdrive benefits from advanced fusion that brings starship to higher warp speed and intensity. User's craft will become able to leap deeper into space, and into more distant planetary systems. Warp core output capped to avoid certain core meltdown, uncontained Thamium9 fusion and death. User is advised to access Hyperdrive systems through Galactic Map.

This Gek blueprint trader has what you need
  • The blueprint for this technology is given to the player by Polo.
  • It can be acquired from a Gek blueprint trader on a station within a Gek controlled system (occasionally)

  • Operates automatically when located in a player's Starship inventory.
  • Does not need fuel or recharging
  • Adds 200 Ly to Hyperdrive
  • Required for warp to Class E Star System (Green Stars)
