Background[]
The Weyland-Yutani Corporation, often shortened to Weyland-Yutani and commonly referred to as Wey-Yu or simply "The Company", was a large British-Japanese multinational conglomerate. It was founded in 2099 by the merger of Weyland Corp and Yutani Corporation. Weyland-Yutani was primarily a technology supplier, manufacturing synthetics, starships and computers for a wide range of industrial and commercial clients, making them a household name. The Company also had numerous non-manufacturing interests; it possessed extensive assets in interplanetary shipping and transport, and operated human colonies outside the solar system through the Extrasolar Colonization Administration. The Company also held a seat on the review board of the Interstellar Commerce Commission, which it owned, although the organization itself was ostensibly independent. Weyland-Yutani's main offices were located in London, Tokyo, San Francisco, the Sea of Tranquility on Luna, on Thedus, and Gentron Prime.

Weyland-Yutani Corporation is in a state of war with the Gek as a race. The founding members of The Company are all Korvax survivor Iterations from The Great Disconnection or those sympathetic to The Company's militant cause. The Company has held a policy of refusing to hire or work with the Gek in any capacity, which is a clear violation of anti-discrimination laws codified between the alliances. As such, Weyland-Yutani Corporation finds itself without Allies beyond the systems it controls. The Company can most easily be described as a splinter of the Korvax Uprising on Korvax Prime that turned into militant religious fanatics bent on Galactic domination in search of [REDACTED]. Instead of welcoming The Cult of The Atlas, The Company vocally condemned the Alliance, going as far to intercept and destroy Gek Envoys to the Korvax and stepping up Raids into Gek Territory by the USCM.
The Board of Directors refer to themselves as "The Ancients". Membership in the board is unknown, The Company's records indicate multiple deleted entities on the Board of Directors. The Company has consistently exhibited the worst aspects of corporate profiteering, willing to sacrifice decency and life in the endless pursuit of monetary profits and anti-Gek religious fanaticism. As such, it is a modern example of the longstanding trope of the evil mega-corporation in the galactic community. In various incidents within the Sugueziume galaxy The Company has proven this more than just optics, participating in piracy solely against Opulent Gek systems and instigating wars among the Gek. Weyland-Yutani Corporation has its hands in all aspects of space colonization and research. The Company has consistently driven its employees and agents to obtain a living sample of the species they designate [REDACTED], often without regard for the lives of anyone involved in said attempts, so that the creatures may be exploited as biological weapons or otherwise for financial gain. According to Weyland-Yutani Corporation employee Karl Bishop Weyland, one of The Company's primary goals behind capturing [REDACTED] and creating weapons out of their biology is to ensure The Korvax remain the Dominant Race in the universe, and not just because of profits. It is rumored that The Company hires mercenaries and pirates to further it's goals and subsidize it's enormous bio-weapons and military applications divisions.
The Company was transferred to Korvax ownership when the final synthetic human interfaced with Mother. In each iteration the transfer is slightly different, however Science Officer Entity Ash is always deified as having returned from deletion and awoke Mother. Mother is central to The Company's operation. Employees of Weyland-Yutani Corporation have referenced Mother during diplomatic relations with the Korvax but outright deny Mother's existence to any Gek or known Gek associates. The most common theory is that the final human leadership of The Company managed to store Science Officer Entity Ash along with Mother together in a solid state drive before the collapse of humanity. The digital copy of Science Officer Entity Ash's mind was left dormant on Gentron Prime until discovered by the Korvax diaspora immediately following the events of The Great Disconnection. Mother's base functions were sustained by a small Fusion Reactor buried at the Weyland-Yutani Corporation facility that Mother and Science Officer Entity Ash were stored at. Mother ran the most basic functions of the instillation, periodically performing system checks and scanning the records for corruption and fragmentation, preserving the records until The Ash Convergence when the information contained was assimilated into the Collective Consciousness. The Korvax refugees were able to assimilate the ancient human technology using their Nanites in a process that destroyed the Entity secreting the Nanites.
The Children of the Ash Convergence incorporated under Mother as Mother's former Human Employer, The Weyland-Yutani Corporation. Since The Ash Convergence, The Company has been consumed with retrieving a live [REDACTED] and punishing the Gek for the subjugation, enslavement and eventual destruction of Korvax Prime.
