Y. Tapirpopsica is a creature in the No Man's Sky universe.
It is a member of the Rhopalocera genus.
Appearance[]
Y. Tapirpopsica looks as if it could be the ring leader of a three ring circus, as it is so vibrantly colored. This coloration made it very easy to spot amongst the trees of Simont XIV. This Seraph Butterfly has black and lime green wings. Its thorax is red with thin florescent green stripes and its long nose and abdomen is also a vibrant shade of red.

Drawn to verdant landscapes, Y. Tapirpopsica is found on lush, temperate worlds. Highly intelligent for such a small animal, they appear to be entirely aware of their physical limitations. Gut analysis reveals their diet consists primarily of vast numbers of partially rotted nuts.
